Production Internship

Location: NYC
Internship Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Available
Compensation: School Credit Only (Unpaid – No Stipend)

Overview

Adam Lippes is looking for talented, motivated students to assist the Production team. Our interns gain hands-on experience within the product life cycle from development through the completion of bulk production, gaining exposure to all aspects of the brand. The majority of our production for woven garments are made in NYC's Garment District.

Responsibilities

‧ Assist the team during production fittings.
‧ Help the production team with cutting room, patternmakers and sewers.
‧ Review show samples against the Bill of Materials (BOMs) and assist with taking detailed photos.
‧ Maintain an organized workspace.
‧ Source and distribute trims.
‧ Keep inventories of trims and pre-production samples.
‧ Familiarize preparing cutters must and checking patterns as needed.
‧ Quality Control.
‧ Create trim bags for PPS.
‧ Assist in midtown errands to factories and suppliers.
‧ Update documents maintained by the production team.
‧ Assist with cut tickets.
‧ Visit factories to check on pre-production samples.

Requirements

‧ A positive attitude, willingness to learn, communication and enthusiasm are key.
‧ Must currently live in or commute to the NYC area.
‧ Must be eligible for school credit or OPT (this is an unpaid internship).
‧ Knowledge of RLM is preferred but not required.
‧ Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus
‧ Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
‧ Pattern-making and sewing skills are a plus.
